BRIEF | The goal is to create new brand and package design for the most well-known and popular beer in Korea called OB. A new approach was taken in order to give a fresh global take on the mainly simple and conventional Korean beer brand image. The OB products used for design are premium golden lager, special edition, and light version.
APPROACH | The new design is inspired by the traditional Korean visual element, the patron saint, and the keywords are modern, premium, and bold. In order to reflect the Korean history of OB, the symbolic patron saint is used as a new identity and traditional patterns are incorporated on each background label. What’s more, to exude a modern feel and dark colors are used to heighten the life and feel of the main Korean beer brewery.
